Privacy

• Your email address, when you sign up for alerts, submit the seller form, or sign in to bid.
• Your phone number, only if you choose to give it. It's optional everywhere.
• Your ZIP code, so we know whether a pickup or a clear-out is near you.
• Whatever you tell us you're clearing out, in your own words.
• Bid activity — what you bid and when — for signed-in bidders.

We also get ordinary technical data any website gets: a request log with an IP address and browser type. We don't build a profile out of it.

• Auction alerts: a heads-up a week before a sale opens, and again when it goes live.
• Scheduling your clear-out: figuring out where you are, when you're moving, and what we're carrying.
• Running the auction: recording bids, deciding who won, and getting the winner and the item in the same room.

That's the whole list. We don't email you about anything else unless you ask us to.

• We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
• We don't share it beyond what running the sale requires — the services that send our email, host the site, and store the database, and nobody else.
• Seller identities stay anonymous by design. A listing says "The Seller" and a general area. The exact address goes to the winner only, on pickup day. That isn't a setting, it's the product.
• We don't publish your email, your phone number, or your ZIP anywhere on the site.

Seller enquiries: about a year, then we delete them. Bid records: we keep them while the sale is running and for a year after, because that's how a dispute gets settled. Alert sign-ups: until you unsubscribe, which is one click in any email we send. Ask us to delete earlier and we will.

If you arrived from an ad on Meta or elsewhere, that platform knows you clicked. What you type into a form here comes to us, not to them. We don't hand your form answers back to an ad network.

Email hello@sellmywhat.com from the address you gave us and say what you want gone. We delete it and confirm. There's no form and no retention team to argue with. You can also ask us what we hold and we'll send it back to you.

If this changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes get an email to anyone on the alert list.
